2013 ALREADY!

January 09, 2013 By: wome0962 Category: About, Events at Women At Work, Newsletter

Women At Work now enters its 34th year. I am pleased that the organization has risen to meet the requests of so many clients and individuals who are looking for a brighter path in their future. The biggest hope I have is the continued increase of new jobs.

During the most recent months my staff and I have witnessed more client successes in obtaining work. It is not always their dream job, but certainly any current employment is a stepping stone to a better job.

I am optimistic that the trends of recent months will continue and even expand as we enter 2013. Since late October more job announcements have come in, more clients have come to use our services and improve their skills, and attitudes are more upbeat and positive.

During 2012, Women At Work created new programs and services such as: Expanded guest speakers at Job Club; New Career Counseling packages and; Broader selections of technology classes – all so that our visitors to the Center can gain both help and knowledge in their job search. The new job databank provides enhanced services and a multitude of resources, and our new, larger, updated computers in the lab offer faster, more effective technology access.

Finally, the mission of Women At Work continues. The staff remains dedicated to helping each individual achieve their potential.

If you are a new client, we will meet you where you are to help you move forward, and if you are a returning client, our goal is to again, aid you with your upward mobility.

As 2013 commences, we look to our many supporters and donors, and say thank you. My wish for clients, supporters, and future visitors is that this year bring you success, prosperity and a future filled only with bright potential for a job that is a perfect fit for you!
