Finding a new voice – Creating a new path to your next job
Career changing, either by choice or forced out by employers, can be a risky journey many job seekers may not be aware of or have a misperception. In this workshop, Susanne Ko, a case manager at Foothill Workforce Development Board, will provide helpful assessment tools and worksheets to help you be aware of these risk factors and prepare you for a career change or career transition. In particular, she will discuss how to identify transferrable skills and how to use them to create a new resume targeting a new career goal.
With over 20 years working for government funded employment and training programs through solid work experience with nonprofit and governmental entities, Susanne has extensive knowledge of different governmental programs that can benefit all ages and disadvantage groups. She has devoted numerous volunteer hours in helping the development of policy and training materials to help mature workers (age 45+) in re-positioning themselves in finding their next jobs with the right mindset.
