The Women At Work Endowment Fund with Pasadena Community Foundation, was established on November 2, 2016.
Over the past 37 years, Women At Work (WAW) has provided services and programs to help women to gain skills to attain their full employment and earnings potential in a supportive environment. However, as the work place has evolved over the past decade and many governmental and non-profit agencies are providing similar services, the Board of Directors decided to take a new direction. This new strategy was also precipitated by lack of consistent annual grant revenues to support the operating budget.
The Board of Directors decided to establish a Field of Interest Fund with Pasadena Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to support organizations that help women in challenging circumstances achieve sustainable employment. The Fund was started with an initial funding of $26,000. Our target goal is $100,000 by the end of the year and we are pleased to inform you it is currently funded to $40,000. Women At Work Board of Directors will serve as advisors to the Fund in the grant allocation process.
Your support, contributions and hard work over the past decades has enabled WAW to successfully help thousands of women. The Fund will continue the legacy of WAW and continue the vision that we all share.
